The Dragon's cave as it's known to us Brits is a fabulous place for live Jazz if that tickles your fancy! In the upper part of the city don’t expect to find many tourists hanging out and wearing their token jazz roll-neck jumpers here. What you will find is some of the best musicians in the city, blowing their horns, slamming their drum kits or strumming their axes in the slinky way that only a jazz musician can. The room itself is wonderfully decorated, imbibing the whole spirit of jazz. In fact it reminds of the type of place you’d see in a Hollywood movie. Seating here is way too comfortable and the bar has the usual array of drinks, from beers to spirits and more. There is a catch to this however, as it’s a notoriously difficult place to find (check our maps!) and unfortunately live music has been significantly cut down due to the focus they’ve now put on concerts and private parties. (You might therefore prefer Jamboree in the city centre!) Despite these niggles however, if you can find a good concert on their website and your idea of a night out involves a little touch of magic and a slice of super cool then I’d wholeheartedly recommend this place to all you coolcats out there.
